Reaching Tempestt´s roots we have to return to the 90´s musical scene of São Paulo. At that time, names like Angra and Shaaman were beginnig to be heard. Brazil was not inserted in the agenda of great international concerts yet and the Internet was only for few people at that time. Heavy rock was restricted only to some clubs and maybe some big bands that eventually made concerts. Despite the difficulties many great bands and good musicians started to appear and Tempestt is one of them. They started in the middle of 1.999 playing covers. Journey, Kansas, Europe, Queen, Bon Jovi and Dream Theater, were some of it. The form that Tempestt played those songs, starts to bring more and more fans. Soon, Tempestt was playing with great musicians, like Billy Sheehan and was chosen as Jeff Scott Soto´s band in his concerts in Brazil. A little later, the band figured out that they also could start to write their own songs. On this debut album, it is easy to see the individual talent of each musician and how the years of union as a band were important to them. Listening just to a few songs is possible to figure that the band is prepared and ready to be part of the international hard/heavy scenario.

The Album

The Album Production is in charge of the band and has co-production of Adriano Daga (Winner of the Latin Grammy), album also has the participation of Jeff Scott Soto and Hugo Mariutti (former Shaaman). The ten tracks alternates power, melody and lots of techinique.

		Bj Professional singer since he was 17 years old, beyond the scene hard/heavy also acts in "Big Bands" showing ability in another styles. BJ also worked with Skyscraper and Henceforth (band of the brothers Hugo and Luis Mariutti) before being part of the Tempestt.


		Edu Cominato Started to play drums with 6 years old, for his father influence who was a professional musician. He started his first band at 13 years old, playing covers like Deep Purple, Metallica, Pantera and Dream Theater. In 1997 joined a band called Homeless, his first band with own compositions. The Homeless made some concerts in São Paulo,playing sometimes together with Henceforth band who counts on Hugo Mariutti Andre Matos Band)( and Luis Mariutti (Andre Matos Band).

	In 1999 Edu left Homeless to start Tempestt with Léo Mancini(Shaman), BJ and Kuky. At this time he played in a great jam session with Billy Sheehan(Ex David Lee Roth, Mr Big), playing Mr.Big´s songs. He is also a drum teacher and has another projects as “Remove Silence together with Hugo Mariutti (Henceforth, former-Shaman ), Fabio Ribeiro (former Shaman) and Alexander Souza (The Brainless Brothers). “Schizophunk” and “R4” .Edu also work as studio musician and plays with band KLB in concerts around Brazil, as sideman.
		Gustavo Barros Started to study classic guitar at the age of 9. At the age of 14 got his first eletric guitar, and since then, decided that music would became part of his life . Started college at 18 where if it became bachelor in popular music in the year 2000. There he studied with Alberto T. Corrêa, Landmarks Cavalcante and Ulisses Rocha. Also he studied with famous brazilian guitarrists as: Faiska, Michel Leme, Nelson Faria, and had a few lessons with Mike Stern and Gary Willis.

	Playing acoustic an electric guitar, Gus also participates of the band of the “Ídolos”(Brazilian version of the program American Idol) and recorded COMPACT DISC and DVD with the ten finalists of the first edition (2006). Studious, Gus loves to teach guitar and teaches since he was 15. He also plays with some local bands, as sideman.
		Paulo Soza Joined Tempestt in 2002, after the concerts with Jeff Scott Soto in Brazil. He has some projects and plays along with local artists, as a sideman as “Bubbles” band, “Cavalo a Vapor” and Mr. Big tribute During 2 years he wrote lessons and transcriptions in a magazine called “Cover magazine”. Plays bass since 12 years old, always aiming the growing and the musical knowledge inside of the universe of the bass; He also dedicates the most varied forms of expression in the instrument aiming a proper identity, enclosing works as bass teacher in some schools of music and as sideman of some artists.
